BASS TAB

TITLE: BROKEN RECORD

ARTIST:THE REFRESHMENTS

TABBED BY: THE WARLORD ~ superintendantgodbotherer@hotmail.com

tuning:standard

these guys kick so much ass. i'm usually pretty hardcore, but this

shit is just way too good. their bass player is kinda funky,

he does some tricky stuff, but its nothing you cant do with

practice.

no bass for intro. come in at 0:17-this is now "part a"

A:------5-5------7-7-7--+-------5-5------7---+-----5-5--------7-7-+
E:--5-5-----5-5---------+--5-5-------5-5--0--+-5-5--------5-5-----+

0:35, "but when you got back...." this is "part b"

A:--5-5-5-4-------------------------+
E:----------7-5-5-5-4-3---2-2---0-0-+

play first bar of part a

0:48 "part c"

A:-5-5/7-5-4-----------------------+
E:----------7-5-5-5-4-3--2-2---0-0-+

0:55 "no im not a quarterback..." "part d"

A:---------------5---+
E:-2---0----5--------+

1:02 "cause im a healthy..." "part e"

A:----------5-------------------------------------+
E:---5----------0-0-4-5-6-7-6-7--0-0-4-5-6-7-6-7--+

1:10 "i can tell a story..." play part d, but double up the notes

1:20, the end of the "chorus" riff:

A:-5------0--2--------+
E:--------------2--0--+

then star over at part a

he does a big funky slide later on, around 1:45. just slide to

your high e (thats 9 on the g-string)

no problem. the only tricky part is getting your pinky on the 7

for part e. email me with requests or death threats.
