This is tablature — fret positions rather than chord names. Wide lines scroll sideways on their own, so the page never does.

Subject: BASS TAB: POLICE COLLECTION

Police Bass TAB version 1.0

===========================

The following represents my personal collection of

stringsÕs bass lines from his police years.

For the most part sting used a pick on a fender

jazz bass, occasionally there was a slight slap-back

echo delay applied to his lines. The lines a simple

however they are not nessaraly easy maske sure to

listen to the recod carefullly to obtain stingÕs

reggae and jazz syncopation was the bass drum.

I have been playing bass for about three weeks,

so any contructive critisizm or insight in to singÕs

style would be greatlly apreaciated.

Hal-Lenard publishing does have a police bass-tab book out

however I have yet to see it. I also donÕt have the money

to spend on a potentianlly incorrect tab book.

Eventually I hope to transcribe the compleate Police for

bass. Each time I transcribe more songs I will post them

in this newsgroup and in nevada.
