This is tablature — fret positions rather than chord names. Wide lines scroll sideways on their own, so the page never does.

Standard Tuning (E A D G B e)

One guitar -- the first guitar will play the open chords.

Another guitar -- the second guitar will be playing the chords as barres

upstroked once then muted softly, but only playing the first 4 strings so

(D G B e) strings. Play on a clean electric with reverb, mute the chord

slightly after play, so don't let it ring too much. Play the barre chord

fragments alongside the open chords. Listen to the song to see what I mean.

i.e.

F1 for 2nd guitar

e 8

B 8

G 10 <- just upstroke these parts, the E and A string are muted.

D 10

....

A 8

E 8

Intro

-----

F1 (this played by the 2nd guitar repeated several times) **

** I can hear an acoustic mimicking the bassline as a subtle riff like this:

e----------------------

B----------------------

G----------------------

D----------------------

A----------------------

E-1~--1-1---1-1---1-1--

After 4 repetitions, you hear this fill very softly:

e-8--------------------
B-8--------------------

G----------------------

D----------------------

A----------------------

E----------------------

Then play the intro sequence again, but this time after the 4 repetitions use this fill:

e-6---8----------------
B-8---8----------------

G----------------------

D----------------------

A----------------------

E----------------------

Verse 1

-------

F Dm

There is freedom within

There is freedom without

Bb Am

Try to catch the deluge in a paper-cup

F Dm

There's a battle ahead

Many battles are lost

Bb Am

But you never see the end of the road while you're travellin' with me

Chorus

------

Bb C

Hey now hey now

F Dm

Don't Dream It's Over

Bb C

Hey now hey now

F Dm

When the world comes in

Bb C

They come they come

F Dm

To build a wall between us

Bb

We know they won't win

Verse 2

-------

Now I'm towing my car

There's a hole in the roof

My possessions are causing their suspicions but there's no proof

In the paper today

Tales of war and of waste

But you turn right over to the T.V. page

Chorus

------------

Hey now hey now

Don't Dream It's Over

Hey now hey now

When the world comes in

They come they come

To build a wall between us

We know they won't win
