Sad Song by Noel Gallagher

This is the bonus track on the vinyl version of Definitley Maybe, but I've

never actually heard that version. I heard it played on Oasis' appearance

on Channel 4's 'The White Room' and on the 'Live by the Sea' video.

The version I have 'tabbed' is the version played on 'The White Room',

Noel Gallagher seems to play about with it quite alot, but this is the

meat(?) of the song.

Note:

In the intro the strums in-between the single note picking is not

really as precise as it is tabbed and isn't played very loudly.

Am C

Sing a sad song in a lonely place,

Dsus2 E G

And try to put a word in for me,

Am C

It's been so long since I found a space,

Dsus2 E G

You'd better put in two or three,

Am C

We as people are just walking round,

Dsus2 E G

Our heads are firmly fixed in the ground,

Am C

What we don't see, well it can't be real,

Dsus2 E G

What we don't touch we cannot feel.

Pre Chorus

**************************************************************************

C G

Where we're livin' in this town,

Am C

The sun is coming up and it's going down,

C G D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D Dsus2 D

But it's all just the same at the end of the day,

Am G

And we cheat and we lie,

Am G

Nobody says it's wrong so we don't ask why,

Am G D Dsus2 D Dsus4 D Dsus2 D

'Cos it's all just the same at the end of the day.

**************************************************************************

D Fmaj9 C

Are we throwing it all away?

C Fmaj9 C

We're throwing it all away,

C Fmaj9 C E

We're throwing it all away at the end of the day.

***** Play Intro **************

Am C

If you're needing something I can give,

Dsus2 E G

I'll try and help you if I can,

Am C

If you're honest and you say you did,

Dsus2 E G

You know that I would give you my hand,

Am C

Or a sad song in a lonely place,

Dsus2 E G

I'll try and put a word in for you,

Am C

You need a shoulder? Well if that's the case,

Dsus2 E G

There isn't nothing I wouldn't do.

**Pre Chorus**
