Music bio: Greenbaum was born Nov. 20, 1942 in Maiden MA., and began playing area coffee

while a student at Boston University. Greenbaum relocated to the west coast in the mid

forming Dr. West's Medice Show & Junk Band. Only after going solo did Norman Greenbaum

score a major hit in 1968 with 'Spirit in the Sky' selling some 2 million copies. A true

hit wonder'.

Tuning : Standard

*note : For maximum results shorten the pick as close to your thumb and finger as

so that both the pick AND the skin of your fingers strike the string. The results will be

early ZZ Top type sound simular to 'Waitin' For The Bus' (through an over-driven tube amp

and possibly a fuzz-tone)
