Subject: She's Too Tough - Def Leppard

"She's Too Tough" - Def Leppard

From the Album "Retro-Active"

Words and music by: Joe Elliott

I liked this song the first time I heard it in 1987 on Helix's Wild in the

Streets album. When Def Leppard released it as a b-side on the Heaven single

CD, I was amazed that it could actually sound better. The remixed version on

the Retro-Active album is even better, yet. Both guitar parts are transcribed

here, although I am not positive about the division of the parts between the two

guitars.

(Riff 'A')

Black stockings and a high heeled dress

Good lookin' your face is a mess

She's no angel

Oh, no

(Riff 'A')

Gun loaded, she's got plenty to spare

She'll pull your trigger before you're there

She's no angel

Oh, no

CHORUS (Riff 'B')

She's too tough

Can't help it

She just can't help it

CHORUS

(Riff 'A')

Hands off, its a catch twenty-two

You can't touch and she can't refuse

She's no angel

Oh, no

(Riff 'A')

Whiplash, give her six of the best

Lay back, let her mind do the rest

She's no angel

Oh, no

CHORUS (Riff 'B' 4 times)

SOLO (Riff 'C' 2 times)

CHORUS (Riff 'B')

(Riff 'D')

She's too

Tough

CHORUS (Riff 'C' 4 times and fade)

I've cooked up my own little guitar fill for the second guitar in the chorus:

E|--------------------------------------
B|-----------------8-8--6-5-6~~~~~~~~~~-
G|------5--------7----------------------
D|------------5-------------------------
A|-3------------------------------------
E|--------------------------------------

She's to tough can't help it, she just can't help it

etc

Transcribed by Gary Vander Ploeg to the best of his ability 1995.
