A bass with a humbucker in the bridge position is best I find.
Put the bass and treble settings on ur pre-amp rite up for that lovely crisp but flowing sound u can hear
the beginning.
But keep the mids scooped back a bit - i put it at about 2/3rds of the treble/bass setting.
A bit of experimenting with different rythyms and possibly plectrums should get u summat satisfactory.
